HOW ARE MULTI-APARTMENT BUILDINGS BEING PREPARED FOR WINTER?

How are multi-apartment buildings being prepared for winter? A meeting dedicated to preparations for the 2026–2027 autumn-winter season was held at the Main Directorate of Construction and Housing-Communal Services of the Samarkand Region. The meeting was attended by S. Allayev, a responsible official from the Ministry of Construction and Housing-Communal Services; the leadership of the Main Directorate; heads of city and district departments; and chief engineers in the sector. Participants discussed the work underway to prepare multi-apartment buildings for winter, as well as existing challenges and ways to resolve them. It was also decided to launch an "Engineering Hour" initiative to facilitate the continuous professional development of specialists through practical, industry-specific training sessions. At the conclusion of the meeting, specific tasks were assigned regarding the timely completion of preparatory work, the rectification of existing shortcomings, and the assurance of necessary living conditions for the population during the cold season.
